“What is Yin yoga? Like all styles of yoga, yin works to stretch and strengthen the body. However, unlike Hatha, Power, and even Gentle styles of asana that target muscular tissues, Yin yoga goes deeper to target ligaments, joints, and other connective tissues that support the body. Join me to delve deeper, and you may just find a part of your practice that has been missing.”

Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time five to ten minutes per pose. Yin yoga postures apply moderate stress to the connective tissues the tendons, fascia, and ligaments increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.

This is a more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of one’s inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.

All levels with options to simplify and modify or advance further in to the postures with step by step guidance.
