The purpose of this workshop is to share research and practices that can help create personal peace.
Having struggled with this challenge herself, Sylvia is excited to share her learnings with you. Your journey towards peace will combine elements of Creative Expression with aspects of the practice of yoga. The session will include a brief overview of the definition of Creative Expression, current research of its health benefits and guided exploration of physical, mental and artful ways to tap our inner wisdom to find pathways to calm our minds.
Shifting within a continuum of mindful expression, we will engage in a flow of active explorations. We will move between breathing exercises, meditation, and opening of the Chakras, to expressing emotional and physical discoveries in visual and written art forms, including the use of pastels to create a personal mandala. Expressive writing will be in the form of free-flow scribble, poetry and journaling.
When you engage in this workshop, you will receive your art journal along with tips on how to continue your journey in creating your personal peace weeks and months to come. No previous meditation, art, writing or yoga experience is required.
