4-Hour YACEP Continuing Education Workshop – 4 Yoga Alliance CEUs
This continuing education workshop explores how modern movement science can enhance and support traditional yoga practice. Designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners. The training blends classical yoga alignment with Animal Flow ground-based movement and mobility techniques. These practices promote joint health, build strength, and support long-term longevity.
Participants will explore joint-controlled mobility drills inspired by contemporary movement science alongside foundational Animal Flow positions and transitions. These techniques improve joint stability, coordination, and body awareness. They support healthier shoulders, hips, and spine over time. Through guided exploration and sequencing, teachers learn to integrate mobility preparation and ground-based transitions into yoga classes. The result is a balanced approach that moves beyond passive stretching toward strength, control, and resilience.
Drawing on over four decades of experience in yoga, dance, and functional fitness education, Patty Jimenez Hamilton therefore offers practical tools. As a result, teachers can expand their movement vocabulary while still maintaining the integrity and intention of yoga practice.
